I was so excited to learn that my story, “The Sending” had been selected as an Honorable Mention in Gemini Magazine‘s 2021 Short Story Contest. This was a story that I wrote in Fall of 2020 to fit a shorter format and when I learned of this contest, I decided to give the story another look. What started as a quick revision turned into a total expanding. It was so fun letting it breathe and become what it wanted to be.
